4hr Group Half Day Snorkel Excursion in Grace Bay, Providenciales

About this experience

Welcome to Providenciales, where we have been snorkeling daily for 20 years and know every fish, coral and turtle by name!! We look forward to introducing you to Providenciales beautiful barrier reef (location may change due to tide and current).

Our tours cater to both the novice and experiences snorkelers. People who snorkel with us range from ages 0-99 and all skill levels.

Responsible snorkeling is one of the least intrusive, most intimate interactions with any wilderness environment. Our tours are designed to stimulate your sense of inquiry, discovery and joy of learning that comes with exploring the underwater world first hand.

After we snorkel we will head over to Little Water Cay, locally know as Iguana Island. There you will explore the stunning beach and enjoy a quiet, laid back atmosphere where we will serve lunch, and assorted beverages.

Last but not least we head to deeper water where you will jump off our rooftop diving board, and slide down our curved water slides.

Planning perspective

How I’d plan this experience

This four-hour shared outing combines guided snorkeling, time on Iguana Island and a playful ride back toward Grace Bay, with lunch and drinks included. I’d choose it if you want more than a single snorkel stop and like having several kinds of time on the water in one half-day. The main decision is less about chasing a particular sighting than choosing a departure that fits your day and being comfortable with a group outing.

A good fit for mixed-interest groups

The appeal here is the variety: the itinerary allows time to snorkel the barrier reef, relax on Half Moon Bay and use the boat’s slide and rooftop diving board. That mix should suit families or groups where some people are keen snorkelers and others would rather enjoy the beach or the boat. Snorkels, fins, masks and flotation devices are included, and the tour is described as suitable for all fitness levels. I’d still pick it for people who are happy spending several hours on a shared boat, rather than anyone expecting a quiet, private outing.

The snorkeling location can change with tides and currents, so I wouldn’t plan around one fixed reef or expect a particular marine-life sighting. The itinerary gives the reef stop about an hour; think of it as a guided introduction, not an all-day snorkel.

Choose morning or afternoon for your day

Both options are four hours and include lunch and beverages, so I’d choose based on what you want around the excursion rather than assuming one has a different itinerary. The morning meeting time at Bight Park is 8:30; the afternoon meeting time is 1:15. The boat leaves shortly after each meeting time, and punctuality matters. If you’re staying elsewhere, allow room for island traffic: ground transport isn’t included, and beach pickup is available only at select locations, with requests made 24 hours in advance.

Expect a group pace—and a variable reef

This is not a private charter: the shared tour has a maximum of 40 guests on larger boats and 30 on smaller ones. I’d be comfortable with that trade-off if you enjoy a sociable boat atmosphere; choose something more private if personal space or setting the pace yourself is central to your plans. Traveller feedback includes both excitement about seeing plenty of fish and a report of seeing fewer than hoped for. That’s a useful reminder that wildlife encounters vary, even when the crew guides the snorkel. Dolphins mentioned in some feedback are not a scheduled stop, so I wouldn’t count on seeing or swimming with them.

Pack for the practical details

Bring a towel and sun protection, which are not included; sunscreen, towels, a hat and sunglasses are specifically suggested. Lunch and drinks are included, but gratuities and ground transportation are not. If you need to cancel, the stated policy allows a full refund when you cancel at least 24 hours before departure. I’d treat the early meeting deadline as firm: the boat departs on schedule, so arriving late risks missing the outing.
